oh and also on the note of the marathon, i managed to wake up in the middle of the night to watch the whole marathon which started at 3am[i live on the west coast] and watch it all! an ep that i'm surprised that made the cut was feeling pinkie keen with how much backlash it received at the time it came out. as for an ep i'm surprised missed the cut, shocked that winter wrap-up didn't make it. more over, it was a little disappointing that an episode with a song didn't land the top spot.

I liked Hearts and Hooves Day more than I expected. I can see why Big Mac and Cheerilee's love talk annoyed people, but I found it hilarious because it was intentionally over the top and mushy. And just how damn strong can ponies be? Big Mac was towing that house like a boss! Also, did Big Mac and Cheerilee really start dating at the end, or were they just trolling the Cutie Mark Crusaders?

I didn't the MAD pony parody to be all that funny. Props to them for getting Tara Strong, but I was rather bored with it, plus the Tintin joke felt forced. It was a "it's funny because I've heard it before" joke, and I find those jokes to be boring, which is the worst thing you can say about a joke, so meh to the parody.

Since we're on the subject of parodies, here's a question: My Little Pony has already done a few homages and parodies of movies and shows like The Big Lebowski, Batman, Indiana Jones, etc. Is there a particular show or movie you want to be parodied or homaged to in MLP that hasn't been done yet?

1)Considering the fact that even the Cutie Mark Crusaders were even disgusted just goes to show that even the writers thought this was too romantic and gooey, and did it on purpose.
2)I was talking to my friend last week about all the shipping on the internet between ponies, and i was like "can't they just be friends! They are just ponies, they don't need to have romances." then this episode aired. Sometimes i think the universe is trolling me.
3)Anyone else finding it annoying that Twilight is just shoved into every episode not involving the mane six just to serve as the letter writer and to make the morals become blatantly obvious.
4):O You played the Pinkie Pie song from the newest episode in the BG! I love that song!

5)Big Mac does talk, he had a few real lines of dialog back in... i think episode 4. The one with the apple harvest (no, the other one. no the other one. Seriously, why are there so many apple harvests!)
6)Time travel? Get Doctor Whooves! (if he's not in that, they are trolling)
7) Actually, it was Pegasus' and Earth ponies VS Unicorns (for some reason the unicorns could fly)
