Heres some fun facts about this movie:
Vince Russo was the main guy in WCW at the time, so having another actor play a role that he should have done was baffling.
Not once is the NWO or any of its spinoffs seen in the movie (unless Randy Savage wore that logo in the beginning dream sequence. I forget), which makes me believe this movie takes place in an alternate universe.
David Arquette winning the title has remained a running gag in the wrestling industry to the point it was brought up in his WWE appearance a few months back. It also won Wrestlecrap's Gooker Award for the year, narrowly beating out the infamous Mae Young/Mark Henry hand-child skit.
Apart from his brief "White Trash" gimmick, this marks probably the only time DDP played a villain.
David Arquette's run in WCW to promote the movie was not the only time such a stunt has been pulled. To push the subpar TNA Impact game, the main protagonist of the game Suicide was made an actual wrestler on the show. It was little more than Kazarian in a mask.
The kid who uses the magical powers of the internet in the movie is better known as Sherman from the American Pie movies.
The cage match at the end has been done before...in reverse. The War Games match, the best gimmick battle WCW ever came up with thanks to Dusty Rhodes, featured tag teams fighting from the top layer downward to escape the structure.

Enigma, i know you're having fun making 4 grown men dissatisfied in a hotel room while watching muscular men in tights grab each other... but you gotta stop smiling so much when you're trying to deliver some of your lines. (sorry, it was just kind of apparent to me)
I was hoping for some looney tunes style ending sequence when matty showed up.

Nick, stop smiling when your trying to be serious!!!!!!!!
This was so much fun to watch you guys make, I hope you put up a blooper reel, behind the scenes stuff, or even deleted things, or a commentary. The people need to know what happened to make this review.
As this was my official on screen debut on reviewtopia, instead of just my voice, does this mean I have to start reviewing stuff? *worried* ^^;

2. That's Rose Mcgowan, the girl who has a machine gun leg from Grindhouse Planet Terror.
3. I LOLed that scene where you guys got irritated where David Arqutte showed up his ass....
4. MATTY JAY! I should have known that I was you at the end!!

I find it utterly hiliarious that Rose Mcgowan has never been in any good movies what-so ever, however she is more widely known for her MASSIVE success as Paige Matthews in the hit TV show "Charmed" for which she played that role for 5 years till the series ended.
I only know this because of my Ex who just LOVED the series when it was out, and IMDb
